Pleasant Pistol can also be used if a shower is not easily accessible. Simply apply the same way as detailed above and go.

DOES PLEASANT PISTOL TASTE GOOD?

Our oils are all-natural, so they can be easily ingested. However, because the oils are extracted from the fruit peels in order to capture the most fragrant part of the fruit, the oil can taste bitter.

WHAT ARE ESSENTIAL OILS

Essential oils are pure oils extracted from a variety of plants, mainly by the process of steam distillation. During this procedure, a plant is placed in a device over hot water. As steam forms, it passes through the plant and the “essential compounds” vaporize and condense back into a liquid. “Essential” refers to the beneficial properties of the plant, as well as the fact that the oil can be used in a range of ways. Most essential oils are clear liquids, but some oils have a slight color, such as the green lime oil or amber lemongrass oil.

Most essential oils are produced by distillation. However, there are several different methods for oil extraction. The two processes used for our oils are:

Steam Distillation: This is the most commonly used process. During this method, a plant is placed in a device over heated water. As steam forms, it passes through the plant and the “essential compounds” vaporize and condense back into liquid.

Cold Pressed Distillation: This method is used specifically with citrus essential oils. During this process, the peel of the fruit is penetrated while rolling over a trough, allowing the tiny pouches which contain the essential oils to be pierced. The whole fruit is then pressed to squeeze the juice and oils from the pulp. The essential oils rise to the surface of the juice, where they are then separated using a centrifugation process.

WHERE DO ESSENTIAL OILS COME FROM?

Essential Oils are derived from sections of plants. Oils can be sourced from bark, berries, flowers, leaves, fruit peels, resin, roots and seeds.

WHAT IS THE SHELF LIFE OF PLEASANT PISTOL OILS?

Because essential oils are volatile, they have the potential to oxidize. Oxygen, heat and light can all cause essential oils to degrade and break down. On average, if stored properly, Pleasant Pistol oils will stay fresh for 1-2 years.

HOW SHOULD YOU STORE PLEASANT PISTOL?

In order to maximize the life of each bottle of Pleasant Pistol, keep them away from light, and store in a cool place. Make sure the cap is screwed on tight and the lid is shut securely.

DOES PLEASANT PISTOL BURN?

No! There are no ingredients in any Pleasant Pistol oils that will burn or tingle the skin when applied.
